TET CAKE COOKING FESTIVAL FOR THE POOR

"Growing up in Binh Minh, I made and cooked Tet cake with my grandparents, parents and neighbors many times, yet, I have never felt so moved as at this time. All of the residents put their time and efforts into making Tet cakes of love and hope for the poor residents in their hometown. They stayed up all night, sitting around a fire to dispel the year-end cold, and cooked more than 700 Tet cakes. The aroma of fat, screwpine leaves, banana leaves, sticky rice, bean and bamboo shoots all intertwined with love for the coming spring.”
